1. What is the difference between Solar Technical Track and Solar Sales and Marketing Track?
GREPI offers a wide range of classes in the Climate change, Energy Efficiency , Sustainability and renewable energy domain. Many of these classes are using new e-learning technologies so that the students can learn where ever they are and interact with the instructor on-line.
Some of the courses offered by GREPI are hybrid variety where they spend some of the time learning, reviewing the material on-line and come to the GREPI centers of excellence to get hands and in class experience with the lab equipment, instruments and more importantly the instructor. GREPI believes that as computers, smart phones, laptops, and tablet computers proliferate more and more people will be able to take classes and gain knowledge through Internet and mobile technologies to become productive and improve employment opportunities.

2. What is the significance of GREPI Logo?
GREPI logo has all the colors of the five essential components of life. Sun, Water, Air, Earth, and Trees.
3. What is meant by Hybrid learning classes?
A hybrid class will allow the students to log on to the GREPI computers remotely and review the class materials, take quizzes, clear your doubts with the instructor on-line, and become familiar with the content before arriving at the center of excellence for in-class and hands on training. So the student spends time with the course material on-line and attends the sessions in class and goes back home reviews the content again on-line and the most important thing is he/she will be interacting with his classmates and group on –line through blogs, forums and Facebook.
This approach to education using both on-line e-learning and in-class training is called Hybrid learning classes.
4. I don’t have background in Electrical Engg, but I am very interested in learing about Solar PV systems can I still pursue this path?
Absolutely, what matters is your attitude and ability to learn new material. GREPI offers Basic electricity course that should be taken as a pre-requisite before taking up Solar PV classes.
5. Why is Safety emphasized so much in GREPI courses and content?
Safety of personnel, people and equipment is very critical from GREPI perspective. Life is precious and proper safety and precautions can avert future accidents and loss of life. Please follow the safety instructions very diligently in the lab and in the field. Let safety be first in all your actions.
6. Can I do both the Solar PV Technical track and Solar Marketing track?
Yes definitely, Solar PV Technical track focuses on Solar PV basics, design, analysis, site, analysis, applications, maintenance and trouble shooting. In addition there will be several basic and advanced lab demos and measurements will be performed.
Solar PV marketing will give you the basics of Solar PV, basic site analysis and use of equipment with basic solar PV lab, followed by major focus on solar PV selling and marketing techniques, using economic and financial methods to create a value proposition.
Both courses cover basics of climate change, energy efficiency and the use of some basic equipment for site survey.
